Children’s picture books-Cats, hats, socks and mittens by Louise Bourden

What’s better to develop the listening and reading skills of the children than reading picture books and not any picture book, one that is full of rhymes. The title says it all. Not only is this book full of rhymes, it helps the children to understand the idea of seasons and cycles in a fun way. The teacher would have to avoid reading the book in a monotone way as the children could easily lose interest and get bored. Use plenty of face and body gestures for the kids to stay hooked.
