Easy Loom Knitted Hat With A Brim

By | August 30, 2016

In this video, I show you how to make a hat with a brim on a round knitting loom. I used the 36 peg loom which measures about 9 inches in diameter. If you use a different size loom than I did, you will use the same techniques just on a different scale. 🙂

I bought my looms in a 4 pack set. They are the Knifty Knitter brand, but there are lots of brands out there now.

I recommend doing these with either bulky weight yarn or two strands of worsted weight. Then all you need is the loom and a pick-style tool that comes with it and you’re ready to go! Oh, and a tapestry needle of course!

Thanks for watching!!!

I'm very late in comments!? But I was wondering how do you do that little pom pom fuzzy shaped ball on the top of the hat?

How long does it take you to finish one hat? How long is the skein of yarn & will it make an entire woman's hat? Do you have enough left over for another hat?  Do you have a video if I wanted to have the brim one color & the hat a different color? Can I use any thickness of yarn? I love angora but it's thinner than what you used. I've been wanting to do this kind of thing, what was the name of the loop product you bought again? Sorry for so many questions, I've never done knitting but I really want to learn! Thanks

try to start pulling over the last peg that's easier because it locks your yarn.. finish your round and start the next round.
