    Thank you so much for posting this video. I made this beanie for my 3 month old daughter and it fit perfectly; she's 8 months now and still wears it. I gave gotten so many compliments on the pattern that I'm going to be making her more for the winter. Love your videos, they're so easy to follow along.

    Thank you for this pattern, it was easy to follow. The only problem I had was that it turned out much larger than a newborn size. I used a 4mm crochet hook with baby sport weight yarn. I compensated for the size difference in hook by stopping my increase row at 60 stitches. I will need to use a measuring tape next time to stop the increase rows at the desired diameter (for those of you with the same problem – you can use any multiple of 4 for the increase rows to get the same basket weave pattern). However, this is a great start so thank you again for the free pattern and excellent tutorial!
