Soft and cozy, but not too small, November 19, 2014

A lot of reviews say that these run very small, and that people are getting the 18-24 month size for their 4-month-olds… I found that a bit extreme, but just to be on the safe side, I preemptively ordered the 18-24 for my 6-month-old. Well… they’re huge! I don’t think they run small at all. Or if they do, it’s not by much. I really like them otherwise so I won’t return them, but will save them for next year and order a smaller size for now.

Another thing people are mentioning is that the mittens are uneven or one is a bigger size than the other. That’s not the case with the mittens I received either. The two are exactly the same size, and they are even and symmetrical. The lining fits nicely inside, it’s not too big or too small. The mittens are very soft and cozy, and seem like they’ll be warm. There’s an elastic at the wrist to keep them on. That’s my only complaint – I wish there was another way to fasten them on, like a strap or snap buttons, something adjustable. I’m not sure the (loose) elastic will be enough to keep them on my baby’s hands once she learns how to pull them off. But that’s not a deal breaker for me. I can always sew some snap buttons on, or ties, or something.

My baby’s hands get quite cold very easily, so we use these to keep her hands warm while she’s sleeping. They’re soft and fluffy, which I love. They stay on her hands well, which is great. I highly recommend them!
