CINCINNATI (WKRC) — We may be starting out the day above zero degrees, but it’s still bitterly cold out there.
There are local students in need of warm coats to wear as they walk to school.
At Cincinnati Public School’s Evanston Academy, 96 percent of the students live close enough to walk.
That means they walk to school – and need to be bundled up with gloves and hats.
Monna Beckford, Community Resource Coordinator, said, “We are in need of these items. because if they do not have coats or these necessities, they will not be at school, which learning is the key.”
Every school has a parent resource center.
If you’re interested in donating, you can contact the schools for more information on how to drop off items.
