Mittens NOT Built For Girls: Kinco Ski Mitts [Review]

By | March 16, 2016

Need a pair of mittens that look good on the slopes, après-ski, and with a chainsaw? Well, no one needs that, but the Kinco Ski Mitts fit the bill and are only .

I mentioned an earlier glowing review of the Kinco Ski Gloves and their mitts fill a similar niche with the same durable quality. Pigskin is the material of choice here. It out wears regular cowhide and blows fabric gloves out of the water.

The mitts come pre-treated with REVIVEX® waterproofing solution, though I’m not sure they need it. Most people would only wear mitts in the deep cold of the winter and unless you’re in a wet area, these would keep your hands dry all day.

Initially I was turned off the by attached 5-finger lining, but immediately changed my mind when I tried them on. Inside is a thermal lining that’ll make your hands feel like you left them behind in the hot tub while the rest of your body freezes on the slopes.

Daniel, 19 months old, tries his “hand” at eating with “Astronaut gloves.” (They’re really pot holders we picked up at Kennedy Space Center!) As we’ve heard many an astronaut explain, they DO reduce your manual dexterity. (Imagine how reduced when you consider a toddler’s fine-motor coordination to begin with!)

Used this last snowboard season and I love it. I'm still a newbie, fall quite a lot on black runs. I use sno seal to coat it

I tried on the mittens (they weren't the pigskin model) and was blown away at the price and the comfort.  That five finger lining is nice!  I found them at a work store and now due to your review I will be buying a pair or maybe the work gloves instead. Thanks, looks like you're up at Big Bear.

Hey what is the jacket you are wearing? I have been searching for it. If you ski, how well does it work for that, or any snow related activity. Thanks
